Running Coach – Sam Allman
Based in the Dandenong Ranges just outside of Melbourne, Sam Allman is a physiotherapist, running coach and avid road, trail, mountain and ultra runner. Sam has been coaching athletes of all levels for 7 years and has been a qualified Physiotherapist for 8 years. We work with clients locally and from all over the world, from Canada to Hong Kong to the UK and everywhere in between.
Although Sam specialises in trail running coaching, marathon coaching and ultra-running coaching, Sam has coached runners for Sub 3 marathons, 100k mountain races, first time half marathons, parkrun 5k PBs and everything in between.
Running Coach Qualifications
- Level 2 Athletics Australia qualified run coach
- Masters of Physiotherapy Practice and Bachelor of Health Sciences – Sam has been a practicing physiotherapist for 8 years and run coach for 7 years
- Level 1 ASCA strength and conditioning coaches course.

- Personalised progressive strength and conditioning program via “PhysiApp”. Adjusted based on individual strengths/weaknesses and the demands of your event
- Unlimited ongoing communication and feedback (Via WhatsApp, email and Final Surge)
- Advice on all things running including race strategy, nutrition planning and for any niggles that emerge during training.
- Discounted online physiotherapy consultations for any running injuries (if required).
$149 AUD per Calendar Month. No minimum commitment.

- 1 x Initial 60 minute physiotherapy consultation with Sam, to assess and diagnose your running injury
- 1 x monthly 30 minute check-in physiotherapy consultation
- Personalised running/cross training program via “Final Surge”. Based on your injury diagnosis/assessment and your running goals
- Personalised, injury specific rehab program based on assessment and diagnosis, delivered via “PhysiApp” for easy tracking/feedback
- Unlimited ongoing communication and feedback (Via WhatsApp, email and Final Surge)
- Advice on all things about your injury, running and race nutrition
$210 AUD Per Calendar month. No minimum commitment

With Sam’s significant experience as a running coach and physiotherapist, he has a deep knowledge of running physiology, biomechanics and lower limb injury risk prevention and management. Sam uses these skills with all of his running and rehab clients to build strong, resilient runners.
At Run With Strength, we believe that every runner needs an individual approach to reach their goals, injury free. Our process involves:
- Identifying your short/long term goals and your running/injury history
- Determine physical attributes needed to reach your running goals
- Identify your running strength/weaknesses
- Asses your physical strength and any obvious deficits/ side to side differences
- Create a program that sustainably builds you toward your running goals, building on strengths and weaknesses as we go
- Altering the program as we go based on how you are responding to training and your life circumstances
